Contractor Music Owner Sean Kontractor is no stranger to Reggae Culture. Jamaican raised with an impressive background in working with some of the hottest artist in the music industry like Shaggy, Wyclef, Buju Banton, Sean Kingston, Capleton, Ed Sheeran and many more. If you decide to do any music business in Jamaica it’s a 60% chances you will be dealing with him.
He did the unthinkable by Putting Ed Sheeran on a Jamaican Reggae Album. While people in the Industry laughed Kontractor knew that his idea would work. Many articles were written stating the samething “Why of all artist Ed Sheeran on Jamaican Album.” From America to Jamaica it was a negative vibe….until it hit. Billboard Magazine featured an Article with Pitchfork backing the album. Well let’s just say “TROPICAL HOUSE CRUISES TO JAMAICA album hit Billboard Charts for 19wks with 4wks at #1.
As of Date, Contractor Music is working on new album with LGTM/Music God Records. Album will be released sometime in 2020. Pundits are stating due to the amount of Celebrity fire power on this album it well hit Billboard charts.
The Tropical House HipHop & Reggae album will feature Shatta Wales, Sean Kingston, Tory Lanez, Alonestar/Ed Sheeran, Capleton, Da Baby, Shaggy, Buju Banton and many more. One thing is certain hard works pays off and Kontractor has proven that. Kontractor & Beatbopper Music will be featured this December on Hot97 & the second largest newspaper in New York-“The New York Daily News”. With about at least 3 major albums coming out in 2020, we are certain to make an impact in reggae and hiphop music.
