Born Rashad Kelly, Paasky grew up during the Cash Money era and is greatly inspired by their success. The reality that someone from New Orleans actually made it big is what gave Paasky the drive and passion to rap.Paasky grew up in the pre gentrified 5th Ward of New Orleans, LA. His father grew up with Baby, and Slim, so in ‘99 when “The Block Is Hot” was released, he was able to attend meet and greets, get autographs, and meet The Hot Boys. It was in that moment that Paasky knew the effect that the group had on all of New Orleans, the world, and himself, and that’s when he chose his Faith, he was only ten years old.

Paasky began taking his ministry seriously in 2010, when he decided that he was completely done with pursuing college, and went all in with the music. That year he dropped his first solo tape ‘Suggested Retail’. Since the release of ‘Suggested Retail’, he’s released 2 mix tapes a year while consistently delivering powerful punch lines and thought provoking metaphors laced with a slight east coast flair. Paasky has worked with notable artists such as Curren$y, G-Eazy, Raj Smoove, 3D Natee, Don Flamingo Kourtney Heart, Nesby Phips and the super producers Flight School just to name a few. His talents supersedes underground and have allotted him the chance to open up for the likes of the legendary Slick Rick, Bun B, Rich Homie Quan, BIG K.R.I.T. and Big Sean just to name a few.
