Third World Don Enters The Marley Dynasty

Search just about any reggae chart around the world, and you are bound to find the legendary Marley family prominently featuring tracks like “Stir it Up” alongside timeless classics such as “One Love,” “Redemption Song,” and “No Woman No Cry.” Like a rich musical dynasty, Ky-Mani Marley rises to prominence with his role in the impactful film Shottas, which debuted when he was just 22 years old and is still fondly remembered throughout the Caribbean. For many fans, Ky-Mani stands out as a shining star, as he skillfully carries the Marley legacy to new heights, earning his place among the movie stars in Shottas. This is just one iconic attribute of Ky-Mani, who, one could argue, missed out on a Grammy award much like Jamaican athlete Kishane Thompson missed the chance at the 100 meters gold medal when he was nominated for his album “Many Many Roads” back in 2001. As for record producer Michael “Beatbopper” Hudgins, he believes, “It’s only a matter of time before Ky-Mani receives the recognition he truly deserves. He traverses all genres of music, seamlessly incorporating grassroots influences, blues, hip-hop, and, of course, reggae into his unique sound.”

Nigerian Lands on iTunes Charts

Landing on the charts is something that some people say is easy to achieve. However, if it were truly that simple, then why is it that you, the reader, are not currently charting? Charting officially takes a combination of skills, experience, and a deep understanding of many key factors that contribute to success in the music industry. These crucial factors often stem from the fundamental quality of the music itself, without question. A dedicated BeatBopper worker stumbled across the unique sounds of Sanity Bornstar’s music and promptly sent over the song for further consideration. It wasn't too long before Sanity and the company owner had made direct contact. The phone call that ensued lasted for hours, with the conversation primarily focusing on exploring possible marketing strategies to effectively get him featured in mainstream media outlets. As a result, Sanity was successfully featured in both Vision and Reggae Vibes magazine, with his music playing on iheart radio and gaining notable name recognition in the Jamaican Observer. To make a long story short, Sanity eventually hit #13 on the iTunes Reggae charts and, at that moment, became the only African artist to chart alongside heavyweights such as UB40, Bob Marley, Julian Marley, Ini Kamoze, Buju Banton, and Morgan Heritage. Nowadays, Sanity Bornstar is staying quite busy and is fully concentrating on his upcoming EP, which is slated for release in 2025.
